皇冠体育官网 will host Spiritual Emphasis Week for all students later this month. This is a transformative time at 皇冠体育官网 as students participate in special chapel services and other activities that reinforce the importance of a personal relationship with Christ.
From February 21-23, middle and high school students will hear from guest speaker Josh Barrick, an inspirational speaker, author, and Outreach Director of Hope Out Loud. Hope Out Loud is a non-profit ministry that shares the gospel all over the world and infuses hope to people of all ages who have gone through pain and trauma. Barrick is a graduate of Liberty University with an M.A. in Christian Ministry. He lives in Northern Virginia with his wife, Brooke.
“I am so honored to come alongside 皇冠体育官网 during Spiritual Emphasis Week. I am excited to meet the students and faculty. I can’t wait to make new friends as we get to hang out all week,” said Barrick.
“I am praying every day that God would go before us all and prepare our hearts to receive exactly what each person needs. I pray after this week the students will truly know that God loves them, He wants to have a personal relationship with them, He wants them to walk in freedom, and that they can leverage their lives to make a difference for eternity” Barrick said.
皇冠体育官网’s Director of Spiritual Life Dr. Stephen Jordan will serve as the speaker for elementary students (2nd-5th grades). Dr. Jordan and his wife, McKenzie, have four children: Audrey (4th grade), Hudson (2nd), Hadley (3K), and Micah (3K). Previously, he served as Campus Pastor at Liberty Christian Academy (LCA) in Lynchburg, Virginia, and taught high school Bible courses for nearly a decade.
“I am both honored and excited to share in Lower School Spiritual Emphasis Week again this year! There is no greater privilege than sharing the good news of Jesus with students and encouraging them to follow him in their daily lives,” said Jordan.
“Jesus truly changes everything! While we weave this thread through everything we do at 皇冠体育官网, I love that we take an entire week in February to really reinforce the importance of what matters most: knowing Jesus Christ, walking with him each day, and sharing the gospel with others,” he added.
Music during Spiritual Emphasis Week will be provided by Micah Moore (Northway Church) and Brayden Hutcheson (皇冠体育官网 Elementary Music Teacher) for Upper School students. Mr. Hutcheson will be leading music for our Lower School students.
